One of the upsides of winter must be that citrus fruits are in season. The blood grapefruit is one of the most beautiful. It’s quite sour, but served with sweet fruits like kiwi, red grapes, pears and passion fruit, it’s delicious.
The grapefruit is bursting with vitamin C, and I make sure to always eat my iron supplement together with it. The vitamin C makes it easier for the body to absorb the iron.
