Sending you all spring vibes with this simple fruit platter. Mangoes, kiwi, pear and raspberries – gone in minutes when I put this in front of the kids. I love it how they enjoy these fresh fruits and berries full of vitamins and anti-oxidants that boost their energy and immune system!
Thank you for all your kind and encouraging comments on my last post! This surely is an unusual time, and it’s taking its toll on all of us in different ways. A few days with sunshine and warmer temperatures, time at home with the kids and banana pancakes out on the front porch has given me some new energy. To the lift mood even more, I made this fruit platter. Apple, oranges, strawberries, kiwi and blueberries was just what we needed to recharge!
Hope you’re all having an okay weekend under the circumstances. Stay safe, friends!
I made this fruit platter for my oldest son’s birthday last weekend. It was gone in minutes! We had it for breakfast, and I was reminded how fresh it is to start the day with lots of fruit before eating anything else. Definitely doing that more often!
Details: Slices of apple and pear, orange, pink grapefruit, kiwi and fresh raspberries.
It’s been a while since I posted a breakfast. Now that the sun is finally back and the mornings are light enough for photography, I want to kick off this week with a bowl of rye porridge. I made it with rolled rye flakes, the same way you make oatmeal, and added a couple of tbsp of shredded coconut. When cooked, I stirred in a tbsp flax seeds, and topped it with kiwi, strawberry, coconut flakes and passion fruit and a splash of cold oat milk.
Today it feels like we’re starting all over with autumn again! Blustery winds, grey skies and rain – not at all what I was hoping for. I definitely needed some sunshine, and this summery platter with mango, strawberries and kiwi lifted my spirits and reminded me that were actually getting closer to spring. I’m so ready for it!
Just keep those vitamins coming, and let’s get through this winter! Mango, pear, kiwi, passion fruit and red grapes does the trick for me this gray weekend. Hope you have a good one!
Couldn’t really find a way to incorporate today’s theme “In a vessel” in my Saturday fruit platter, but check #ecsW20to see some creative entries!
Let’s indulge a little! I decided to take the kids’ fruit platter up a notch. Clementine and apple wedges dipped in dark chocolate. Kiwi and banana sliced with chocolate drizzle. While the chocolate was still soft I sprinkled the fruit with shredded coconut, chopped peanuts and hundreds and thousands. At last I added a handful of blueberries, a passion fruit and a kiwi. Yummy!
With this fruit firework I want to wish you all a Happy New Year and a great start to 2020 and the new decade!
A different kind of platter made with strawberry, kiwi, orange, kumquat, pomegranate and red and green grapes. I had a lot of fun making it!
We’re trying to chase away the bugs from this house so we can enjoy the rest of the holidays together. And what better way than to boost with lots of vitamin C? Green grapes, kiwi, raspberries and frozen blackberries. As simple as that!
I had a guest over, a new acquaintance that I was very happy to meet. And this lovely guest definitely knows me already, because instead of a flower she brought a bag full of fruits! How great is that? So here is this week’s platter, with just some of all the goodies that my guest brought. Mango, golden kiwi, blood grapefruit, pear, passion fruit, figs and blackberries. Hope you enjoy it too!
